Kamala Devi Harris had been a fierce force of brilliancy and knowledge as a prosecutor for a long time. Her career begin in the Alameda County District Attorney’s office. Later she was elected District Attorney of San Francisco.

Kamala’s college experience had been exciting and who would know what lies ahead would be breathtaking and historic. She displayed a look of greatness even during her college years. Graduating from Howard University, an HBCU, and pledging Alpha Kappa Alpha, she was on her way.

In 2014, she is joined in marriage to
Douglas Emhoff who is currently First Second Gentleman in the USA.

On January 3, 2011 – January 3, 2017, Kamala Harris is elected 32nd Attorney General of California. First woman ever to be elected and re-elected in this powerful position.

From 2011 to 2021, she is elected as United States Senator representing the state of California. Now a lawmaker, her heart is still set on something larger and more high-powered. By this time she’s considered a high profile presidential candidate for the presidency. So she runs for president. During her campaign, we witnessed little girls and women beginning to believe in what they could be through the lens of this inspirational and confident woman.

On December 3, 2019, Harris withdraws her presidential candidacy stating a lack of funds. However, suddenly a political tsunami rushes in that would rock the USA and the world. Presidential candidate Joe Biden chooses Kamala Harris as his running mate on August 11, 2020. “Really Joe,” said the media. “A Black woman with Asian descent is on your presidential ticket?” That is utterly unheard of.”

On January 20, 2021, Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. And guess who else is sworn in as the 49th and current Vice President of the United States? First Woman, First Black/Asian woman, Vice President Kamala Harris! Yes, it happened folks. And we look forward to her being on the 2024 ticket with President Biden. Later to become the next President of the United States of America.
